Finally! 21st December is here. My son, Aryan, will be stepping into his home for the first time! He is three months old already and am sure somewhere deep down his tiny heart, he is looking forward to live here. Bet that the commercial tag line,'life is calling, where are you', suits Aryan just fine.
An excerpt of a conversation with my son;
Aryan : Dad.. Change my nappies will you? Its getting soggy and you will never understand whats it to wear one of those.
Me : Aye Aye sir!
Aryan : Cut the lingo dad and grow up. Tell me what should I look forward to now with your over glamorized concept called 'LIFE'. Please keep it simple!
Me: Well son, Life..er.. is ... like nappies! It is good if new and gets wet and soggy as time passes.
Aryan : Can't believe I am hearing this!
Me : (wiping the sweat from my brow) .. Yes son, the only difference being that Life just comes in one piece, but... we have the option of cleaning it up and reusing it as a new one.
Aryan : I am listening ..
Me : You see son, its all about what they call it 'attitude' ..
Aryan : Call what??
Me : Attitude. when you look at a rattle, you see a new thing, you get excited by it and want to grab it. You would care for it and get possessive about it. So much so that you will not let anyone touch it. You have developed an emotion for it son. Life is all about such things called 'emotions'. You will love it, hate it, care for it, defy it ... but you will never stop living for it. You will develop an 'Attitude' for it.
Aryan : Not as simple as it sounds dad. But guess worth a try!
Me : Welcome home son..
